Ever been so busy driving you didn't have time to get gas?
Your life tends to be like that.
That's precisely why you need to take time to refill your heart.
You know this is true, but you probably won't take it to heart--especially if you're an American:
* 37% of U.S. workers will not use all of their time off this year
* 24% have not taken any time off this year, and
* 14% have not taken a vacation longer than a long weekend.
* And even when we get away to recharge--we don't always REALLY get away. Over 72% stay in touch with their work in some way while on vacation.
Modern technology makes staying connected to work while on vacation easier than ever and blurs the line between work and personal time. We all truly need to periodically disconnect from work, or burnout will happen.
So if this blog entry has not convinced you to take time off to refill--perhaps a word from God can help you. Check out Exodus 20:8-11 in your Bible.
