Two short poems by Mercy Richey - 1901

These were written by a woman I never met. I helped a friend clean up her apartment after she passed on. My friend told me I could keep what I liked as she had no family.

The few things I kept are precious to me. I am not sure why. Her written thoughts were given as a gift to me and part of her Spirit now resides inside of me.

She wrote with heart and intellect: Hope you enjoy!

"The fabric of my life is gray - hard work in one small place.
I'll concentrate on trimming it, with lots of laughs for lace."

"We clean our houses every day, and throw the useless things away.
But often let our minds for years, be filled with foolish thoughts and fears."
