Secret #88 The Titantic Principle

In the frenetic pace to figure out how to get more time, we often focus our attention on "time-saving" devices and ideas. That is, we seek to be efficient because we think that it will "save time." Yet, focusing your attention on being efficient is a good thing ONLY if you're doing something worthwhile in the first place.

"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."
--Peter Drucker

Think about it. Are you really being efficient if you're cleaning the kitchen on the Titantic?

It's quite possible to be wonderfully efficient at something that's not really worth doing.

It's just a thought.
